A Call for Submissions

In April 1995, the following request was posted to several mailing lists and Usenet newsgroups:

To: ht_lit@spiff.ccs.carleton.ca, pynchon-l@sfu.ca
From: cantsin@fub46.zedat.fu-berlin.de (Florian Cramer)
Subject: SURVEY: Which book would you like to be written?
Sender: ht_lit-Owner@spiff.ccs.carleton.ca
Precedence: bulk
Reply-To: ht_lit@spiff.ccs.carleton.ca

For the "imaginary library" research section
of my Web site "The Seven by Nine Squares," I greatly
welcome any answers to the question:

  >> Which book would you like to be written?

I first presented this problem to Harry Mathews at
Literarisches Colloquium Berlin and had further disputes with
Al Ackerman, John Berndt, Arthur Berkoff and Philippe Billé
who conducted a survey of favourite readings for his paper
"Lettre Documentaire."

Please post your reply by e-mail, too, and it will be incorporated
into the Seven by Nine Squares.
