Sun morning I was there when the doctor told her she has cancer all over, liver, pancreas, spleen, lungs and bone. It's overwhelming. She finally accepted it tho, was very rational (tho the day before she was having panic attacks all night) and wants to get strong enough -- right now she can't walk, can't even really catch her breath -- strong enough to go to this big alternative treatment center near San Diego, where they pump you with vegetable juices every hour, night and day, etc... She's tired a lot but is recognizably still Kathy and wants to fight it. She still wants to live. |
