Why Strike for One Day when You Can Strike for Life?
When you face up to the fact that the traditional role of the artist is
no longer very useful, a whole new level of freedom becomes possible. You
can begin to apply creativity to daily life, rather than to the insular,
weak realm of art, which supplies us with flickering shadows when there
is a world of problems to be confronted. Art making is not in itself a
sufficient response to social crises. Reject art, embrace life.
